are invited to attend Council Meetings held on the

2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m.

GIVING WITHIN OUR MEANS

It is a new year with a new budget of $178,349.39 that will be needed to do the ministry of New Jerusalem in 2010.  This means we need a weekly income of $3,429.79 a week, which comes out to about $17.00 a week per each giving unit of the congregation.

Some of us cannot meet this challenge because of fixed incomes and that's OK—God only asks us to give as we are able—not to bankrupt ourselves.

But some of us can meet this challenge and exceed it.  Now is the time to sit down and really look at the blessings God has placed in our lives and figure out how we can use those blessings to be a blessing to others.

What portion of our money -  - 3%, 5%, 10%, 12% - - can we give?

What portion of our time -  - 1 hour, 4 hours, 12 hours - - can we give?

What portion of our talents - -  singing, praying, reading, painting, baking - - can we give?

Giving isn't only about money.  It's about all the talents and time and treasures God has gifted us with.
